Ingredients
Sirloin steak, 1 1/2 lb cut into stripsButter, 4 Tbs
Black pepper, 1/4
Mushrooms, 1/4 lb fresh or 1 4 oz can sliced
Beef stock, 2 tsp or 2 bouillon cubes
Onion powder, 2 tsp
Hot water, 1 3/4 cups
Cornstarch, 2 tsp
Cold water, 1 Tbs
Sour cream, 1/2 cup
Dill weed, 1 tsp
Directions
- Brown meat in butter. Season with pepper.
- Cook pasta and toss with pesto
- Slice fresh or drain canned mushrooms. Add mushrooms to browned meat. Cook 4-5 minutes.
- Dissolve beef stock base and onion powder in hot water and pour over meat. Cook and simmer for one hour or until meat is very tender. Stir occasionally.
- Mix cornstarch with cold water and stir into meat.
- When sauce is thickened blend in sour cream and dill weed.
Notes
- Arrowroot can be used instead of cornstarch
