Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
Sirloin steak, 1 1/2 lb cut into strips
Butter, 4 Tbs
Black pepper, 1/4
Mushrooms, 1/4 lb fresh or 1 4 oz can sliced
Beef stock, 2 tsp or 2 bouillon cubes
Onion powder, 2 tsp
Hot water, 1 3/4 cups
Cornstarch, 2 tsp
Cold water, 1 Tbs
Sour cream, 1/2 cup
Dill weed, 1 tsp

Directions
  1. Brown meat in butter. Season with pepper.
  2. Cook pasta and toss with pesto
  3. Slice fresh or drain canned mushrooms. Add mushrooms to browned meat. Cook 4-5 minutes.
  4. Dissolve beef stock base and onion powder in hot water and pour over meat. Cook and simmer for one hour or until meat is very tender. Stir occasionally.
  5. Mix cornstarch with cold water and stir into meat.
  6. When sauce is thickened blend in sour cream and dill weed.
Notes
  1. Arrowroot can be used instead of cornstarch
